What a miracle!  While home in Michigan over Christmas I was able to take some photos of my new nephew, he's such an answer to prayer!

Love shooting these two... so lucky to have such sweet nieces.  These two (and jodi and I) battled the cold and their enormous tutus that my sister-in-law made special for these photos.  such a fun session to keep me busy during my time in MI over Christmas!  enjoy!

I really have to hand it to my Michigan brides...they stood out in the cold and snow all for the sake of photos!  pretty sure they will not regret it, winter weddings are so pretty in Michigan.  I'm just finishing up the photo proofing for Rob and Melissa, now, one of my favorite parts... sharing a few... tell me what you think!

a rustic session...

I love Houston, great weather year round.  Here are some of my favorites from my last session before Christmas.  We were looking for a rustic location, I really like these!

no kids yet, just my puppy, Basil.  I'm so glad that I scheduled myself a session with myself!  My pooch is growing so fast, and now I will forever cherish these!  enjoy some personal photos of my family...

this next one is my all time favorite!, a bit of a vintage feel with the boots and my husband's belt, I caught her at the right moment...amazing considering I was using a tripod!:)

it feels good to be back to work, 3 weeks in MI was great, so much snow!  I was so busy last week there, 2 weddings and 2 sessions, I cannot wait to share!  it will be nice to literally "take my gloves off" and take pictures here in the 60's!

it didn't take her long to realize that she loved the snow!  it came up to her neck, my husband had to dig her trails in the yard!

out of the office till january 12...

I will be out of the office until january 12, I will resume all sessions, orders, meetings etc when i return!  Until then, have a wonderful Christmas and New Years!

Christmas is almost here...I'll play "catch-up"

Wow, I cannot believe that Christmas is almost here!  sooo crazy!  I'm finally feeling a little bit caught-up with my sessions, so I need to post and share some faves.

  Let's see...after Erika and Chris comes the Smith family...we did a Rustic Session, and I'm loving these photos!  let me know what you think!

and next up would be the Tramel family... when discussing their session, she stressed that she wanted lots of un-posed photos, just her kids playing together... right up my alley!  I really like to shoot in that style, unscripted.  everyone doesn't always have to be facing the camera.  these have a cool, clean urban feel... some of my faves...

and the next family I cannot share yet...husband surprising wife.  I will wait until after the holidays, just in case...

Sooo, how about some adorable baby Christmas photos?  We went to this green house, something like 10,000 red poinsettias (and other colors).  when I think of the name of this community building I will post it...this is one of the coolest things; as a photographer I get to visit many different places.  this was gorgeous!  here's Zoe:

Next...{I told you I was behind} I went to the Hillhouse family's home, what a gorgeous home and sweet family.  She wanted something that would portray something special about her family, and told me that they all love to cook together!  so, going from that idea, we did a session in their outdoor kitchen.  they all have sweet chef's coats ( I have to get one of those...I LOVE to cook... another creative outlet...) So, here are some of my favorites, including a Christmas card that I custom designed:

A surprise for Erica...

Christopher called me and told me about the surprise plan for his girlfriend, Erica.  He planned a surprise photo shoot for her birthday...just for fun!  I have some great photos of her and also some sweet ones of the two of them!  What a great idea, I think she even had her hair and make-up done...she is so photogenic!  here are some of my faves...I think Christopher just set a new standard, she will never forget this birthday!

I cannot wait, I have such great sessions coming up!  I'm loving exploring for new locations!  I have a new referral policy, pass my name along and you will receive a free 5x7 once the new session is complete!  Although it may be cloudy/rainy, I love this weather for shooting!  The clouds are wonderful!  Not too cool...MI has snow, so I'm loving this warmer weather!

Barbara {downtown Houston}

What fun!  I'm loving these spots I found downtown Houston, I'm really enjoying finding new areas (at least they are new to me..) to shoot at!  Barbara is graduating from college this December-- a huge deal-- and wanted to celebrate with a fun portrait session!  Here are some of my faves:

What a good time!  Well, I'm definitely starting to book up, so PLEASE call me to book a session, there are still sessions available before the holidays!  I design custom cards as well, a great thing to send family and friends before the holidays!
